Homemade Sink Cleaner

This is such an easy recipe to make and I have to say a big thank you to Jessica at Mom4Real.com for this recipe.

What I like about it is it’s inexpensive to make and you can use it every day without worrying if it’s going to damage your porcelain, stainless steel, or whatever type of sink you have.

So for you frugal gals/guys out there, here’s a great money saver for you to try.

Homemade Sink Cleaner

Recipe to help keep your sink clean and fresh

  • 1 Cup Baking Soda
  • 3 Tbsp Castile Soap
  • 15 Drops Lemon Essential Oil
  • A splash of water About 1 to 1-1/2 Tbsp

  1. Mix the first three ingredients in a bowl and whisk together. Slowly add a splash of water (about a tablespoon) while whisking until your cleaner reaches the consistency of a thick paste. If it gets too watery, just add a little more baking soda, or if too thick, add a little bit more water (I used about 1-1/2 Tbsp. water in mine).

  2. Store in an airtight container like a small Mason Jar. If you double the recipe store it in a pint sized Mason Jar and store it right under the kitchen sink so you can use it daily. It will work on tomato and red wine stains as well.
