Every now and then I like to change up my burgers, and this is one I absolutely love.
When I was on my initial elimination diet, the only meats I could eat were turkey and lamb, so I got to know them both intimately. Especially when you have to have them all the time, you have to find new ways to use up the meat.
Here’s one of my Lamb Burger recipes. I hope you enjoy it too!
Lamb Burgers (AIP, Paleo, Gluten-Free)
- Cooking oil of choice (coconut oil, avocado oil, lard, or bacon grease)
- l lb Ground Lamb
- 2 cloves garlic minced
- 1/2 tsp. Ground Thyme (or 2 Tbsp. fresh chopped Thyme)
- 1 Tbsp. Dried Rosemary (or 2 Tbsp. fresh chopped Rosemary)
- 1 Small Onion finely chopped
- Salt to taste
Grease your skillet with your choice of oil.
Place all ingredients in bowl and mix thoroughly with your hands (or a spoon - I like to use my hands so I can feel that everything is mixed in the way I want).
Form into 4-6 nice sized patties and place in skillet.
Cook on medium high heat for 6 minutes, then flip over and cook the other side about 5-6 minutes.
Serve and enjoy!
