Corn – It’s In EVERYTHING!

Do you know the names corn goes by and how to recognize it in the products you buy? It is so critical for all of us that have dietary issues/allergies to read product labels thoroughly. However, if we eat natural whole foods, they don’t have labels so that’s definitely better for you. But, if you do buy processed foods, they all are supposed to have labels. Now, saying that, corn is in most if not all medications in one form or another. Either in the medication itself as a filler, in the liquid as a thickener, or in the capsule encasing the medication. So be extra diligent when talking to your pharmacist.

It is good to know how manufacturers disguise corn in their ingredient lists. Why is it in everything – because it’s a very cheap GMO (Genetically Modified Organism) crop and has so many different applications.
