What about your pearly whites? Are you taking the best care of them you can?
Well, this homemade version of toothpaste has been my toothpaste of choice for more than a year now and my teeth show it. I’ve had great reports from both my dentists and I have noticed a really big difference in the color of my natural teeth (I do unfortunately have both bridges and crowns in my mouth!).
This is such an easy recipe to make. It only produces a small amount, but you might want to try it first before making too much. I choose to make mine with Peppermint Essential Oil, but you could use whatever flavor you like.
- 2 Tbsp Baking Soda
- 1 tsp Sea Salt
- 1/4 tsp Hydrogen Peroxide (3%)
- 1 Tbsp liquid Coconut Oil (melt if needed)
- 1/4 tsp Filtered water
- 8-10 drops Essential Oil (Peppermint, clove, or citrus)
Put baking soda a salt into a bowl and mix together.
Add other ingredients and mix until you achieve a proper paste texture.
Add a small amount of baking soda if it's too runny; add more coconut oil if it's too dry.
Taste and add more essential oil if you want a more flavorful paste.
Store in an opaque container (required to protect the hydrogen peroxide) and use as you would normally.
This recipe can be doubled or tripled as needed.
