Turmeric Smoothie – Low Iron

Here’s a smoothie that is not only great for pain, but is also low iron so you don’t have to worry about drinking it if you have Hemochromatosis.

Turmeric Smoothie

Great healthy smoothie recipe.

Prep Time 5 minutes
Total Time 5 minutes
Servings 1


  • 1 Cup Coconut milk
  • 1 tsp Turmeric powder
  • 1 tsp MCT or Coconut Oil
  • 1 tsp Ground Cinnamon
  • 1/2 tsp Ground Ginger or 1 inch fresh ginger
  • 1 Tbsp Honey or sweetener of choice
  • 1 Med. Frozen Banana


  1. Put all ingredients into your blender and mix until nice and smooth (about 1 minute).

  2. Pour mixture into a glass jar or tall glass and add a non-plastic straw (if needed).

  3. Enjoy.

Turmeric has so many health benefits, it just fits that it would help to regulate your iron as well.

      Glad to hear from you. You could use avocado as a thickener for your smoothies instead of bananas and reap the benefit of having a good fat in your smoothie.
