Turmeric Paste Recipe - Updated (AIP, Paleo, Dairy and Refined Sugar Free)

Ingredients

  • 1/2 Cup Dried Turmeric
  • 1 Cup Water Filtered
  • Pinch - 1-1/2 Tsp Pepper

Instructions

  1. Place all ingredients into a medium saucepan.
  2. Heat on medium-high until the mixture reaches a boil.
  3. Turn down heat to medium to medium-low (should still have bubbles) and cook for 6-8 minutes, or until it thickens.
  4. Store in mason jar with tight fitting lid in the refrigerator.

Recipe Notes

You can add another 1/2 cup of filtered water once you have finished making your paste if it is too thick.

To use: place 1 tsp. of the turmeric recipe in hot tea, mix with a dash cinnamon (if tolerated) and honey to taste. Take this 3 times a day to help with your condition.
